Rabbit Ravioli at Zagat-Rated Olivos

Hi, first and foremost, Merry Christmas, everyone!  Glad to be sharing my Christmas with you and hope you’re enjoying the holidays, wherever you are.

I know I haven’t posted in a very very very long time.  Sadly, my life has been entirely consumed by school work — along with work, of course — for the past couple of months.  I now have a short hiatus before I begin course number two in the series-that-has-been-referred-to-as-a-beast-by-the-professor-that-teaches-it.  So here we go… !

I recently ate at an Argentinian restaurant in Doral called Olivos*.  It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Doral.  The food is delicious — I’ve never had anything there I didn’t like — and the ambiance is super modern and white-themed!  I ordered off the specials menu.

Rabbit ravioli.  Haven’t had rabbit in a really long time.  In fact, I think I may have only had it one other time in my life.  There is is below, floating in a pool of gravy-like sauce.  Portion size was more than adequate, and plating was great as usual, topped with Parmesan cheese and the usual flower.  (FYI, every plate is garnished with the same flower.)  I think I’d give this at least a fine.

Best part of the meal?  It was paid for by one of our vendors!  🙂

Here’s a link to Olivos’ fixed menu in case you’re interested in checking out the fare they usually serve.  Just don’t blame me if you accidentally drool on yourself.
